Alijah Miller’s time at North Pike High School in Summit, Mississippi, was nothing short of extraordinary. On the basketball court, Miller was a force to be reckoned with. During his senior season, he averaged an impressive 25.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game. His scoring ability, combined with his defensive prowess, made him a standout player in the state. Miller’s performances earned him recognition on the Mississippi All-State Boys Basketball Team, solidifying his status as one of the top high school players in the region.
In addition to his basketball success, Miller excelled as a dual-threat quarterback on the football field. He passed for over 2,100 yards and rushed for 1,300 yards during his senior season, showcasing his versatility and athleticism. His ability to lead his team in both sports highlighted his dedication and work ethic.

It would be basketball, however, that would earn him a scholarship to Florida Atlantic University, where he would begin his collegiate career during the 2020-21 season.  As a freshman he averaged 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists per game in 21 games played with two starts. As a sophomore, he emerged as a key player, averaging 13.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Owls.
His junior year saw him lead the Owls to their first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 2023. In the semifinal against San Diego State, Martin delivered a stellar performance with 26 points and seven rebounds. Despite FAU’s heartbreaking loss to a buzzer-beater, Martin’s impact was undeniable.

His senior year at FAU (2023-24) his stats were almost identical to his stats from the previous year. After four seasons at FAU, Martin entered the transfer portal following the departure of head coach Dusty May to Michigan. Seeking a new challenge, he joined the University of Florida, where he quickly became a cornerstone of the Gators’ roster. In his graduate transfer season, Martin brought experience and leadership to a team hungry for success.

In the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Martin helped lead the Gators to the Final Four, marking his second appearance on college basketball’s biggest stage. His electrifying plays, including momentum-shifting dunks and clutch steals, were instrumental in Florida’s semifinal victory over Auburn. Martin’s journey came full circle as he prepared to compete in the national championship game, showcasing the resilience and determination that defined his career.
He’ll seek his redemption from two years ago on Monday night against the Houston Cougars at 7:50p.m. (CT) from the Alamodome in San Antonio
