Pearl River Community College (PRCC) is set to host the 2025 NJCAA Region 23 Baseball Tournament this week from Monday (5/5) through Thursday (5/9) at Dub Herring Park in Poplarville. This marks the second consecutive year that Pearl River has hosted the Region 23 Tournament, underscoring the Wildcats as a Juco baseball powerhouse in recent years.
The Region 23 Tournament features a double-elimination format with six teams vying for a spot in the NJCAA Division II World Series. PRCC enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face the winner of the play-in game between Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) and Northeast Mississippi Community College on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m.
The winner of the Region 23 Tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division II World Series, scheduled to begin on May 25 in Enid, Oklahoma. Pearl River aims to leverage its home-field advantage and strong season performance to secure a spot in the national championship, like they did in 2023.
